Join a Band/Ensemble

Beginning Instrumental Band

This new program offers beginning musicians an opportunity to learn to play an instrument. 

Students should be a minimum of 10 years old, and be willing to rehearse once a week on Wednesdays after school. The program begins October 2nd ending with a performance in June and will follow the SD47 school calendar.  Students are expected to attend all rehearsals. 

Rehearsals: Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 – 5:00 at the Academy of Music
Initially the band will be broken into 2 groups (45 minute session each) and will come together in the new year.

Instruction will be offered in flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, baritone, and tuba.

Class fee $39 per month.
